Spinach Artichoke Dip

Part of my Super Bowl meal! It was extremely easy to make, and very tasty. Lots of ways to cater to your taste-buds, like adding mushrooms, tomatoes… I personally will add more heat next time I make this.
INGREDIENTS
Salt 1 pkg frozen spinach (I used Frozen chopped spinach)
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ large onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
½ jalapeno, seeded & minced
1 pkg Philly Cream Cheese1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup shredded white sharp cheddar cheese
1 small jar artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
Tortilla chips and/or pita bread for serving
DIRECTIONS
Remove the spinach from the packaging and place in a microwave safe container (I used Tupperware). Cover and microwave for 7 minutes.
*If you bought the full leaf frozen spinach, let cool and chop
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, jalapeno and 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook until the onion is soft, about 2 minutes. Add the spinach, mix well.
Now add the cream cheese and sour cream, and mix until completed blended.
Add cheddar and artichokes and stir until the cheese melts and the dip is heated through. Serve warm with tortilla chips and/or toasted pita bread.
