INGREDIENTS
½ cup unsalted butter (1 sticks)
1 loaf of bread or a bag of bread stuffing cubes
1 medium onion, diced
1½ cups celery, diced
3 tbsp poultry seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
2½ cups chicken broth

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Butter or spray a baking dish with non-stick spray. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil and half the butter on medium-high heat. Add onion and celery and cook until soft, for about 8 minutes. Add 1½ tbsp of poultry season, sauté for 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.
In a larger bowl, combine dried bread and onion mixture, mix well. Add remaining pourtry season and chicken broth, ½ a cup at a time, until the mixture is well coated. (You don’t want it to be too soggy). Salt & pepper to taste.
Put the stuffing mixture to the baking dish. Add dollops of butter on the top of the mixture and cover with foil. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until bread is golden.
How to make Bread Stuffing Cubes
- Get one loaf of bread (French, sourdough, white, baguette)
- Cut your loaf info 1-1½ inch cubes and place them on a baking sheet.
- To dry, you can leave your cubes of bread out overnight to dry out or bake the cubes at 225°F for 20-25 minutes.
