LA TOUR EIFFEL
We finally visited La Tour Eiffel today. We got there at 10am, they open at 9:30am, and we still waited for a good hour before going up the tower. But once you’re above the city of Paris, the view is absolutely beautiful!
This is the lineup around noon, and only one side of the tower!
ARC DE TRIOMPHE DE L’ÉTOILE
L’Arc de Triomphe honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. The names of all French victories and generals are inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its center lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I. For those who have never been and plan to one day, please do NOT cross the 8 lane roundabout to get to the Arc, there’s an underground passage that’s must safer!
CHAMPS ELYSÉES
For anyone who loves to shop, this is the place to be. Depending in your budget, you might be doing some window shopping, but it’s quite the experience. Store after store of your top luxury brand names, including Louis Vuitton, Tag, and Mercedes Benz. Yes, you read that right, they have car dealerships as storefront on the Champs Elysées with cars inside!
For lunch we decided to have something quick and familiar to not waste any valuable shopping time…
