Kitchen Finds: Why I Love My Our Place Cookware

I love finding kitchen products that are both beautiful and practical, and my Our Place cookware definitely checks both boxes. I have two sizes of the Always Pan, along with their nonstick pot, and I use all three regularly.

What first caught my attention was the beautiful selection of colours, but it’s their versatility that has made them some of my favourite pieces of cookware. They’re easy to clean, practical for everyday cooking, and look great on the stovetop. What’s not to love?

Ceramic Always Pan – 26 cm

The Always Pan is probably one of my most versatile pieces of cookware. I use it for everything from stir-fries, to steaming vegetables, to pasta dishes, and I especially love how it helps cut down on dishes.

One of my favourite ways to use it is when making pasta. I’ll cook the pasta directly in the pan, drain it, and then build my sauce right in the same pan before tossing everything together. No need to dirty a separate pot and frying pan!

It’s also great for stir-fries, with plenty of room to cook vegetables, proteins, and sauces together without overcrowding everything.

Ceramic Always Pan – 20 cm

The smaller Always Pan is perfect for those times when I don’t need quite as much cooking space. It’s my go-to for making eggs, smaller meals, or cooking something quick.

I love having both sizes because I can choose the one that makes the most sense for what I’m preparing. Sometimes you need the extra room of the larger pan, and other times the smaller one is all you need.

Perfect Pot

The nonstick pot is another favourite, especially when it comes to comfort food. It’s perfect for making hearty stews, chillies, and other one-pot meals.

One of the biggest advantages for me is the weight. I love the look of traditional Dutch ovens, like those from Le Creuset, but they can be quite heavy. My Our Place pot has a similar stylish appearance while being much lighter and easier to handle.

It’s a great option when I want to make a big pot of something delicious without having to wrestle with heavy cookware.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

As much as I love my Our Place cookware, there are a couple of things worth mentioning.

The handles get hot.

They conduct heat during cooking, so you’ll want to have a handle protector or oven mitt handy. I have a silicone handle protector that I use, and it makes handling the cookware much easier. It’s a small thing, but definitely something to be aware of.

They’re easy to clean.

This is a huge plus for me. After spending time cooking, the last thing I want is to spend even more time scrubbing pots and pans. The nonstick surfaces make everyday cleanup much simpler.

The colours are beautiful.

I know cookware is supposed to be functional, but I also appreciate something that looks good in my kitchen. Our Place offers such a lovely selection of colours, and the cookware is pretty enough to leave out on the stovetop.

What’s Next on My Wish List?

Next on my list is the Our Place Bakeware Set. Considering how much I love my current Our Place pieces, I’m curious to see how their bakeware compares. I especially love the idea of having matching pieces that are just as practical as they are beautiful.

I love the idea of having another versatile option for grilling vegetables, meats, and other favourites right on the stovetop.

So Good, I Bought One for My Mom!

I love my Our Place cookware so much that I decided to buy my mom an Always Pan for Christmas one year. Well, apparently she loved it just as much as I do, because the following Christmas, she asked for the smaller one! Now she has both sizes too, and uses them all the time.

I think that says a lot about a product. When it’s something you love using yourself, feel good about giving as a gift, and the person receiving it comes back asking for more, you know it’s a great kitchen find!

My Overall Thoughts

My Our Place cookware has become a regular part of my cooking routine, and for good reason. Between the two Always Pans and the nonstick pot, I have options for everything from a quick breakfast to a big pot of chilli.

They’re versatile, lightweight compared with traditional cast-iron-style cookware, easy to clean, and available in some beautiful colours. Just remember that the handles can get hot, so a good silicone handle protector is worth having nearby.

For me, the best kitchen finds are the ones you reach for again and again, and these definitely fit that description.
