Crock-Pot BBQ Ribs

This is a great way to make ribs without holding your oven hostage for 4-5 hours.  I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing when I first made these (first time using a Crock-Pot) but I sure did impress myself! These turned out great!  The meat was falling off the bone!

INGREDIENTS

1-2 racks of ribs (depends on the size of your crock pot)
¾ onion, roughly chopped
Ribs dry rub
Favorite BBQ Sauce
Favorite Beer

DIRECTIONS

I rubbed the ribs with the dry rub – I used the Club House Flavourful Hickory BBQ Ribs Recipe Mix (I thought it was a dry rub when I bought it, and it’s not but used it as one anyways) –and broiled them on high for 15 minutes to brown them.

Since my crock pot cannot hold a rack of ribs as a whole, I cut them in racks of two.  Poured half of a beer at the bottom of my crock pot (and since it was open, I just had to drink the rest of it.. there’s no such thing as wasting a beer!), layered half of the ribs, the onion and BBQ sauce (my favorite BBQ sauce is the PC Smokin’ Stampede Beer & Chipotle Barbecue Sauce).  Depending how saucy you like your ribs – you can add as much as you want.  Just make sure the ribs are fully coated.  Just make sure you don’t overflow!!

Cook in the crock pot on High for 4-5 hours.  Easiest meal! Super delish!
