If you’re looking to revamp your boring old baked potatoes, this recipe is simple and will really impress your guests.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 Baking Potatoes
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 2 Garlic Cloves, chopped
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Bacon Bits
- Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- Parsley, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Make sure to wash the potatoes. Place one of the potatoes on a cutting board and slice thin slices, about 4 mm thick all the way down the potato, without cutting through to the bottom.
Tip: To help prevent cutting through the potato, you can add chopsticks on either sides of the potato, which will stop the knife from cutting to the bottom.
Slice the butter into thin slices, transfer the potatoes to the baking sheet and add the butter and garlic in between the slices of the potato.
Place the potatoes in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes.
Remove the potatoes from the oven and add the cheese in between the slices of potato and sprinkle the bacon bits on top. Put the potatoes back into the oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.
