Today we went to see the most amazing kitchen store I’ve ever seen. This store, I’m not kidding you, is like a Home Depot for foodies! They had aisles filled from ceiling to floor with 15 different sizes of whisks, pots big enough for me to take a bath in, copper to stainless steel pans, every kitchen gadget imaginable and so much more! Lets just say, I was in heaven!
You need a good three days to do this whole museum, it’s huge. Today we did the Greek & Modern Sculptures, Egyptian Mummies and Medieval Dungeon. The building itself is masterpiece. I can walk through the whole building looking up at the ceilings.
Sculptures
Winged Victory of Samothrace / Venus de Milo by Alexandros of Antioch
Dying Slave by Michelangelo / Athene Pallas Velletri
Nymph by Lorenzo Bartolini (My favorite one)
If the sculptures are accurate, they sure had nice bums back then…
Egyptian Artifacts
Sphinx
Mummy / Egyptian Jewelry / Sphinx
Us being part of the displays
I see I’m not the only one looking for reception to update my blog!
LES CATACOMBES DE PARIS
Well, we walked through the gates of hell and managed to get out alive! But there’s over 6 million skeletons who can’t say the same. The open corridors, 20 meters underground, running for 2 km, are extremely dark, narrow and cold. This haunting walk through the underground passage ways under the city is depressing, yet intriguing.
Who is the girl standing in the doorway. She looks exactly like me! My boyfriend was researching the Catacombs of Paris and stumbled upon this photo. Weird!
That girl is me actually. 🙂
