This is my favorite recipe! One year for my birthday, I decided that instead of going out for dinner, that I wanted to cook and make my favorite dish for my mom and friends. This recipe is “Suck It Off The Bone” good!!
I started off by dusting the shanks with flour and browned them.
I removed the shanks and in the same pot, cooked onions, carrots, rosemary, thyme and garlic until tender. I then added a bit of tomato paste
I then re-added the shanks, a tad of flour, chicken stalk and red wine. Once all mixed, I let the whole thing simmer for 2 hours. Once done, I took the shanks out, covered them with foil and thickened the sauce.
Then served!
We also had the pleasure of enjoying a bottle of Moet Chandon directly from France!!
